FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Short answers about boundaries, storage, and company deployment. For the full picture, see How it works and Security.

Does Field Bundle run background GPS monitoring?

No. Location is used only while evidence is being created, and only when enabled or required by app settings or company policy. There is no background tracking or location history.

Does Field Bundle inspect my cloud documents?

No. Field Bundle uploads the evidence package it creates. It does not inspect, scan, or analyze other documents in the connected cloud account.

Are photos saved to the user’s personal gallery?

No. Evidence files are kept inside the Field Bundle workflow, so field evidence does not fill the phone’s personal photo gallery.

What happens after a verified upload?

The package is verified in the cloud destination. Depending on settings or company policy, raw local files can then be removed from the device.

What happens if an upload fails?

If direct cloud upload is interrupted, Field Bundle can keep a private recovery package on the device. The user can retry upload, save the package, or share it through Android’s native share menu, including email or supported messaging apps. Evidence is not sent to Field Bundle’s backend in the direct-cloud workflow.

Can the package be shared if cloud upload is interrupted?

Yes. The private recovery package can be shared through Android’s native share menu as a professional fallback — direct cloud upload remains the standard workflow.

Can the office be notified when an upload is completed?

Company deployments are planned to support optional upload notifications after an evidence package upload is verified. Notifications are intended for workflow status, such as Work Order reference, upload time, destination cloud, and package status, without turning Field Bundle into background monitoring software.

Can timestamp and GPS stamping be disabled?

Yes. Both can be turned off in app settings, or controlled centrally through company evidence package rules when they are not required for a workflow.

What is included in an evidence package?

A folder named after the Work Order ID containing the before-and-after photos, the technician’s work description as a TXT file, and a short PDF export when enabled.

Can companies manage multiple phones?

Yes. Company Seats activate phones with one-time codes, and the Field Bundle Console manages devices, licenses, and evidence package rules centrally.

Can Work Order sessions continue after closing the app or restarting the phone?

Yes. Work sessions are persistent — the active Work Order session stays intact until the package is uploaded, so evidence capture can continue where it left off.
